Martha Rogers Blount

Martha Beatice Rogers Blount, 88, passed away Tuesday January 2, 2024 at Davidson Health and Rehab.

A funeral service will be held  11:00 am Thursday January 4, 2024 at Davidson Funeral with Preacher Nathan Brinkley officiating services. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 Thursday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Blount was born February 22, 1935 in Dillon County South Carolina to Daniel Rogers and Maude Ella Hardee Rogers. Martha enjoyed Gardening and fishing and she was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, David Junior Blount; two daughters, Barbara Kalantar, and Kathy Dean; a brother, Perry Smith a sister, Grace Lampley.

Surviving is a daughter, Vickie Tester (Bobby) of Linwood; a brother, Sonny Rogers of Texas; a sister, Betsy Ward of Rockingham; a son-in-law, Hedy Kalantar; 8 grandchildren, Rodney Tester of Clemmons, Todd McBride of Clemmons, Jessica Tester Marion (Shane) of Winston Salem, Hedy David Kalantar Tennessee, Kyle Kalantar of Tennessee, Zach Stanford  of Oklahoma, Jenna Outen of Rockingham, and Katie Outen of Rockingham; 2 great-grandchildren, Peyton Marion of Winston Salem and Landon Marion of Winston Salem and numerous nieces and nephews.

Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, will be serving the family.
