Martha "Jean" Fishel Sink

Martha "Jean" Fishel Sink, 86, of Davidson County, passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 in Forsyth County.

Born on July 26, 1940, in Forsyth County, Martha was the daughter of the late Fred Russell Fishel and Marguritte Caudle Fishel.

Martha devoted her life to her family, whom she loved with all her heart and always placed before herself. As a dedicated homemaker, she found great joy in caring for her devoted husband and raising her children. Her family was the center of her life, and she treasured every opportunity spent with them.

She was a faithful member of Center Church of Welcome, where she taught Sunday School for many years and shared her love of the Lord with many others. Martha found happiness in life's simple pleasures, preparing meals for those she loved, tending her garden, sewing, mowing her yard, and making memories during family beach vacations. She was known for her kind and selfless spirit, always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

Left to cherish her memory are her devoted husband, Clifford Waynon Sink; two daughters, Kathy Boles (Mark) and Cindy Leonard (Dyke); four grandchildren, Ryan Leonard (Kylie), Adam Leonard (Hannah), Matthew Boles (Kate), and Emma Boles (Dustin); and five great-grandchildren, Gavin Leonard, Maren Leonard, Beckham Leonard, John Boles, and James Boles.

A funeral service to honor Martha's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 7, 2026, at Center Church of Welcome, officiated by Pastor Mitch Wilson. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 p.m., at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
