Martha Halliwell

Martha Hunt Halliwell, 78, formerly of W. Fifth Avenue, died Saturday, April 19 at Carolina House of Lexington after an extended illness.   A private graveside service will be held at Lexington City Cemetery.     No public visitation will be held.   Martha was born July 29, 1935 in Davidson County to Ira Edgar “Bus” Hunt and Alice Mae Vestal Hunt.  She was a graduate of Greensboro Women’s College and retired as a legal secretary at Stoners, Bowers, and Gray.   She is survived by her sister, Alice Hunt Redwine, of Tucker, GA; her special friend, Joe Dillard of Lexington; her niece, Michelle Nix and husband, Tim, and her nephew, Ruffin Redwine and wife, LeAnne.
