Martha Amanda Sink Hartley

October 30, 1931 — June 7, 2006

Martha Amanda Sink Hartley, 74, of Sunrise Avenue, died Wednesday, June 7, 2006, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem after declining health. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, by the Rev. Burt Williams. Burial will be in Forest Hill Memorial Park. Mrs. Hartley was born Oct. 30, 1931, in Davidson County to Arlie Webster Sink and Annie Pearl Fritts Sink. A former employee of Lexington State Bank in the mail room, she was a member of Macedonia United Methodist Church. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 8. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Seabon Hartley, in May 2005 and two sisters, Ruby Griggs and Linda King. Surviving are her two sons, Joel Hartley and his wife, Cindy, and Tony Hartley and his wife, Nancy, all of Lexington; three grandchildren, Jason Hartley and his wife, Katie, and Jenny Hartley, all of Lexington, and Jeff Hartley of Salisbury; one brother, Dale Sink and his wife, Lucy, of Lexington; and one sister, Jean Rodden and her husband, Johnny, of Reeds. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Friday at the home, 104 Sunrise Ave. Memorials may be directed to Macedonia Building Fund, P.O. Box 190, Southmont, NC 27351.
