Martha Link

Martha Michael Link, 88, of Welcome-Bethesda Road, passed away Sunday, Dec. 30, 2007, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Funeral service will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Elise Kennedy. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Forest Hill Memorial Park. Mrs. Link was born on April 19, 1919, in Davidson County to Ira Michael and Minnie Sain Michael. She was a homemaker and a member of Tyro United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie L. Link; a son, Rondal Link; a grandson, Rodney Link; three brothers and a sister. Surviving are her son, Dewey Link of North Myrtle Beach, S.C.; daughters-in-law Jeanine Link of Welcome and Ann Link of Midway; grandsons Marty Link and his wife, Tange, of Winston-Salem, Kevin Link and his wife, Sonya, of Welcome and Scott Link of Coco Beach, Fla.; four great-grandchildren, Nathan Link, Daniel Link, McKayla Link, and Michael Link; a brother, Howard Michael of China Grove; and sisters Nellie Forest and Doll Beaver of Lexington and Zella Craver of Clemmons. The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to Tyro United Methodist Church, 4484 N.C.
