Martha Brock Mitchell

Martha Brock Mitchell, age 63 or Garland Drive, Lexington passed away Tuesday night February 21, 2017 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem. A celebration of her life will be held 2:00 Pm Saturday, February 25, 2017 in the Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel with Rev. James Messer officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the service and at other times at the home, 450 Garland Drive, Lexington Martha was born in Caldwell County, August 9, 1953 to Frank Lee Brock and Geraldine Hines Brock. She was a retired employee of Dixie Furniture and a member of Pilgrim Free Will Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents. Surviving are her husband, Lonnie A. Mitchell of the home; daughters; Teresa Gunter Lankford (Curtis) of Lexington, Angie Hobbs (Wayne) of Raleigh; sons, Tommy Gunter (Billie) of Mocksville, Lonnie Mitchell, Jr. (Sally) of Lexington; grandchildren, Haley Shore, Amanda Mitchell, Harley Gunter, Blake Hobbs, Cody Hobbs, Curtis Lankford, Jr. and Jaelan Newsome; great-grandchildren, Evan, Hayden, Adilynn, Skyler and Maverick; Sisters, Cathy Gunter, Brenda Champ and Pat Minor all of Mocksville; brother, Dennis Brock of Lexington.
