Martha Younts Swing, 67, of Gray Mill Rd., Lexington, died Monday in High Point Regional Hospital after a sudden illness
Mrs. Swing was born July 19, 1938 in Davidson County to Robert Sanford Younts and Hattie MeLinda Lohr Younts. She was a retired Co-owner of Better Farm Service. At her church, she was a Sunday school teacher, Deacon, former Choir director, former children’s choir director and Secretary of Women’s Guild. Two brothers, Wayne Younts and Homer Younts preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Henderson Swing of the home; two sons: Mike Swing and wife Martha, and Robert Swing and wife Christi, all of Lexington; her daughter, Ann Bryant and husband John of Lexington; three grandchildren: Anna Marie Swing, Laura Byerly Bryant, and Abby Lohr Bryant; her brothers: Bryce Younts of Raleigh, NC, Eugene Younts of Athens, GA, Richard Younts of Wilmington, NC, and Joel Younts of Greensboro, NC.
The funeral will be held 11:00 AM Wednessday, February 1, 2006 at Beck’s United Church of Christ where she was a member by Rev. Gerald M. Sanders. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday at DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOME and other times at the home.
