Marvin Benton Burch

Marvin Burch, age 88, of Lexington, passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2026.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, August 31, 2026, at Forest Hill Memorial Park, with Pastor Scott Slaughter officiating.

There will be no visitation.

Marvin was born in Franklin County, Georgia, on September 21, 1937, to James Frank Burch and Fannie Francis Powell Burch. Marvin worked in shipping for Stone Container and proudly served his country in the United States Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Benny Burch; his sisters, Nonie Rhodes and Mary Jane Strickland; and his wife, Brenda Browning Burch. His son, Mark Burch, passed away just a few days following Marvin's passing.

Surviving are his brothers, Norman Burch, Roger Burch (Susan), Thomas Burch, and Milton Burch; and his grandchildren, Samantha, Calvin, and Simon Burch.

Marvin will be remembered by his family and loved ones for the life he shared with them and the memories they will carry with them always.
