Marvin Othell Harrison, 62, of West Sixth Avenue, died Thursday, August 9, 2012, at his home.
A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 15, 2012, at National Cemetery in Salisbury with the Rev. Joe Black officiating. Military graveside rites will be presented by Davidson County Honor Guard.
Mr. Harrison was born October 18, 1949, to Joseph Harrison and Cora Duke Harrison. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was a truck driver for Ray Construction and of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Surviving are his son, Chris Harrison of Lexington; daughter, Stephanie Parker and husband Jason of Lexington; seven grandchildren; brothers, Rayvon Harrison, Chuck Harrison, Kenny Harrison, and Jesse Harrison, all of Salisbury; and sisters, Diane Honeycutt, Teresa Pruitt, Patricia Cofer, Kathy Stubbs, Barbara Burleson, Becky Bailey, all of Salisbury and Rosa King of Richfield.
