Marvin Leroy Swanson

Marvin LeRoy Swanson, age 71 of Grubb Road, Lexington, passed away Monday (August 30, 2010) at Lexington Memorial Hospital.  No services will be held.   Marvin was born in Sully County, South Dakota November 30, 1938 to Albert Otto Swanson and Clara Schuett Swanson.  He was a retired carpenter in the commercial construction business.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and a true friend to those who knew him.   Surviving are wife; Marilyn Shattuck Swanson of the home; one daughter, Sharon James of Dunn, NC; five sons, Lonny Shattuck and wife Sally of Pittsboro, IN, Mark Swanson and wife Treva of Wichita Falls, TX, Robert Swanson of the home, Matthew Swanson and wife Delina of Thomasville and David Swanson; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Virginia Walton of Deadwood, South Dakota and Lorraine Vincent of Huron, South Dakota; one brother, Ted Swanson of Loveland, CO.   Davidson Funeral Home Lexington is assisting the family.     Online condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
