Mary Altman

Mary Ann Beck Altman, 71, of E. Ninth St., died Friday, July 10, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem after declining health of several months. A funeral service will be held at 11 am Wednesday, July 15 at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel, by the Rev. Darrell Cox. Burial will follow at Lexington City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Tuesday, July 14 at Davidson Funeral Home. Mrs. Altman was born August 25, 1943 in Davidson County to Charlie Willard Beck and Daisy Lee Harper Beck Brown. She retired from Brookstone Retirement Center and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Mocksville. She was preceded in death by her brother, Gary Beck, her grandson, William Watts, Jr, and her beloved cat, Callie Ann. She is survived by her daughters, Sheila Smith (Mike), Bonnie Collins (Dwayne), and Angelia Altman (Tony Bare), all of Lexington; her brother, Donald Beck (Deanna) of Lexington; her sister, Elizabeth Morgan (Bob) of China Grove; her sister in law, Juanita Beck of Silver Valley; her grandchildren, Christy Craver (Danny), Matthew Collins, Trevor Bare, Christopher Bare, Zackary Bare, Jessica Ladner, and Joshua Smith; her great grandchildren, Dakota Watts and Chandler Craver; and her loving nieces and nephews.
