Mary "Skip" Barnes

Mrs. Mary Elnita “Skip” Skipper Barnes, 84, of Woodhaven Drive, died Saturday, November 20, 2010 at her home.   A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday at Forest Hill Memorial Park with the Rev. David Langley officiating.   Mrs. Barnes was born September 18, 1925 in Horry County, SC to Bithel Allen Skipper and Ida Jane Skipper Skipper.  She retired from Kmart and was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Smith Barnes, and a granddaughter, Macy Grace Barnes.      Surviving are a son, Robin Barnes and wife, Vonda, of Lexington; her grandchildren, Elliott Barnes, Kylie Barnes, Julie Humphrey, and Jared Humphrey and wife, Heather, all of Lexington, and Adam Humphrey of Salisbury; and her great grandchildren, Kirsten Humphrey and L. J.
