Mary Beck

Mary Lucy Edwards Beck, age 90 of White Oak Manor, Spartanburg formerly of Lexington died Sunday, February 6, 2011 in White Oak Manor. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, February 9, 2011 in Churchland Baptist Church with Rev. Ray N. Howell, IV, and Rev. Chris Ehrlich officiating. Burial will follow in Beck Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:30 pm at the church, just prior to the service and other times at 400 Boones Cave Rd. Mrs. Beck was born February 18, 1920 in Davidson County to Walter Edwards and Lillian Taylor Edwards. She was a former employee of Howard Johnsons Motel and she was a member of Churchland Baptist Church. Her husband, Hugh Beck and a son, Wayne Beck preceded her in death. Surviving are a son, Ronnie Beck and wife, Carol of Wallburg, a daughter, Shasta Steed of Spartanburg, SC; four grandchildren, Marty Beck and wife, Jean of Wallburg, Kim Beck Neilson and husband, Curtis of Missouri, Kevin Steed and wife, Tami of Spartanburg, SC, Amanda Steed of Spartanburg, SC; and 7 great grandchildren.
