Mary C. Tysinger

Mary Cross Tysinger, 85, formerly of Floyd Church Rd., Lexington died Monday, January 2, 2012, at Hinkle Hospice House. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 4, 2012, at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Floyd Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Tysinger was born August 24, 1926, in Davidson County, to Mamie Cross. She was a sander for Lexington Chair Company and a member for Mountain View Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Fred Tysinger; son, Walter Dale Tysinger; and a sister, Myrtle Cross. Surviving are son, Eddie Tysinger and wife, Pam; daughters, Barbara Childress, Grace Tysinger, Carolyn Hardy and husband, Robert and Margaret Hobbs and husband, Kerry, of Lexington; nine grandchildren, Amanda Tysinger, Dwayne Childress, Chad Childress, Vanessa Pope, Greg Hardy, Kendra Smith, Dustin Hobbs, Jordan Hobbs and Brandon Tysinger; and nine great-grandchildren.
