Mary Myers Davis, 79, of N.C. Highway 8, formerly of Tilden Nursery Road, died Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2006, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Mausoleum Chapel at Forest Hill Memorial Park by the Rev. Don Leonard. Entombment will be in the mausoleum.
Mrs. Davis was born in Yadkin County on Nov. 15, 1926, to William D. Myers and Sallie Myers Myers. She was a retired employee of Sara Lee Corp. in Stanleyville and was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Carlton "Buddy" Davis, who died July 30, 1999; three brothers, Robert Myers, Evan Myers and Clinton Myers; and two sisters, Lindy Renegar and Nannie Childres.
Surviving are one son, Hugh E. Mosley and his wife, Emily, of Lexington; five grandchildren, Francesco Cassar, Aladino Cassar, Ricky Mosley, Mary Ann Mosley and Joseph Mosley; 10 great-grandchildren; one brother, Eugene Myers of Winston Salem; and two sisters, Elizabeth Myers Myers of Advance and Margaret Cummings of Walkertown.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington and at other times at the home on N.C. Highway 8 South.
