Mary Frances Gobble Dillon, 78, of Wind Chime Court, Lexington passed away Wednesday January 8, 2014 at Hinkle Hospice House.
A funeral service will be 6 pm Saturday January 11, 2014, at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Ken Deal and burial will be at The Salisbury National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 until 6 pm prior to the service and at other times at the home of her daughter on Tyro School Road.
Mrs. Dillon was born March 18, 1935, in Davidson County, to Elijah and Eva Eller Gobble. She was retired from Myers Tool. Preceding her in death were her parents; sons, Rickey Harper and Richard (Buddy) Burrow; brothers, Grady Gobble and Lesley Gobble; and sisters, Shelby Beck, Pen Crabtree and Linda Deal.
Surviving are her husband, Robert Beacher Dillon of the home; son, Jerry Harper; daughter, Donna Gibson (Chuck) all of Lexington; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and brother Johnny Gobble (Betty) of Denton; her sisters, Bonnie Deal (Rev. Ken) of Lexington and Sandra Hunt (Paul) of Thomasville.
