Mary Drake

Mary Drake, 90, died Saturday, March 9 at Lexington Health Care, where she was a resident. A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday at the Lexington City Cemetery with Rev. Brian Rummage officiating. The family will receive friends from 6pm to 8pm Monday at Davidson Funeral Home. Mrs. Drake was born April 5, 1922 in Greer County South Carolina to Maston Joe Turner and Ella Lee Hoyt Turner. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Howard Wilson Drake, a son Andy Drake, two brothers; Buddy Turner and Jimmy Turner and one sister Helen Hill. Surviving are five sons; Johnny Turner of Lexington, Tony Drake of Lexington, Larry and wife Terri of Winston Salem, Floyd Drake of Tabor City North Carolina and Paul Ralph Drake of Lexington, three daughters; Lou Ella Louya and husband James, Linda Davis and husband Steve, both of Lexington and Diane Church and husband Gary of Salisbury North Carolina, sixteen grandchildren, thirty six great grandchildren and thirteen great great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at other times at the home of the daughter on Rosewood Drive Lexington.
