Mary Antoinette Driver

Mary Antoinette Driver, 86, formerly of Curtis Leonard Road, died Saturday at Piedmont Crossing in Thomasville. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 7, 2015, at Davidson Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenneth Deal officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and other times at the home of her son on Curtis Leonard Road. Mrs. Driver was born June 14, 1929, in Davidson County, to Elmer Byerly and Claudie Beck Byerly. She was a homemaker and a member of New Life Free Will Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob Bryce Driver; several brothers and sisters; and granddaughter, Linda Carol James. Surviving are sons, Jerry Wayne James Sr. and wife Lorie, Kenny Kirkus and wife Brenda, all of Lexington, and Elmer “Bud” James of Charlotte; daughter, Carolyn Feezor of Lexington; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; brother, Donald Jackson Byerly and wife Mary of Lexington; and sister, Betty Scott of Lexington.
