Mary Emma Gene Harris

Mary Emma Gene Harris, age 83, of Green Meadows Drive, Lexington passed away Sunday (July 10, 2011) at Wake Forest Baptist Health Center in Winston Salem.  Graveside service will be 10:00 am Friday (July 15, 2011) at Forest Hill Memorial Park with Rev. Vardis Rains officiating.   Jean was born in Jackson County, Arkansas May 31, 1928 to Clyde Hood and Stella Tribble Hood. She was a homemaker.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George Thomas Harris in 1996.   Surviving are; four daughters, Edna Greene and Georgia Blevins both of Lexington, Evelyn Massengill and Barbara McCahly of Michigan; four grandchildren, Gary, David, Randy and Scott; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Louis Taylor of Arkansas.   Arrangements by Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington.     Online condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
