Mary Frances Ratledge Blevins 87 of Piedmont Crossing, formerly of Winston-Salem passed away Wednesday morning, June 24, 2015 at Select Specialty Hospital. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, June 26, 2015 at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel with Preacher Clyde Akers officiating. Burial will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park.
A visitation will be held from 12:45 to 1:45 PM prior to the service and other times at the home of Steve and Joan Blevins.
Frances was born in Rowan County on February 23, 1928 to William Bryant Ratledge and Grace Belle McDaniel Ratledge. She was a seamstress and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Orville Junior (OJ) Blevins and two sisters. Frances was a member of Oak Forest United Methodist Church.
Surviving are two sons, Steve Blevins (Joan) of Welcome, Marion Blevins (Sonja) of Lewisville; two daughters, Christine Blevins of Winston-Salem, June Blevins Childress of Arcadia; three brothers, Bill Ratledge (Nancy) of Winston-Salem, Jim Ratledge (Faye) of Athens, GA, Earl Ratledge (Anna) of Mocksville; grandchildren, Jeff Childress of Winston-Salem, Summer Goodman of Lexington, Stacey Underwood of Lexington, Brian Blevins of Raleigh, John Blevins of Raleigh, Lee Childress of Winston-Salem and six great-grandchildren.
