Mary Virginia Fritts Everhart, 98, of Easter Circle, died Wednesday, June 24, 2009, at the home of her son, Jerry E. Everhart, in Fort Mill, S.C.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday, June 26, 2009, at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Max Shoaf officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park.
Mrs. Everhart was born September 26, 1910, in Davidson County, to Arthur Fritts and Ada Sally Kepley Fritts. She was a piemaker at Bryars and attended Psalm 91 church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Emanual L. “Fate” Everhart and an infant daughter, JoAnn.
Surviving are sons, Ray Von Everhart and Jerry E. Everhart and wife, Mary Lou, of Fort Mill, S.C.; daughters, Norma Jean Meredith of High Point, Betty Carol Fowler and husband, James, Linda Kay Mecimore and husband, Garland, and Sylvia Baugus and husband, Charles “Pete”, all of Lexington; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Friday from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at their respective homes.
