Mary Musgrave Hege

Mary Elizabeth Musgrave Hege, age 93, of Lexington passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at Grayson Creek Assisted Living.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, October 6, 2019 in the Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel with the Pastor Mike Hillard officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 5:30 pm until 7:30 pm on Saturday at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington and other times at the home of Leon Hege in Lexington.

Mrs. Hege was born in Davidson County on April 8, 1926 to George Washington Musgrave and Elizabeth Bulla Musgrave. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and was a loving mother and grandmother whose memory will be cherished forevermore. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Hawkins Hege; her daughter, Era Belle Hege; a daughter-in-law, Dorothy Hege; two brothers, Clarence Musgrave and Bob Musgrave; and a sister, Doris Greene.

Surviving are her three sons, Leon Hege (Alanna), George Thomas Hege and Charles Eugene Hege (Becky) all of Lexington; three daughters, Deena Marlene Hege (Lisa) of Walkertown, Linda Sue Cavazos (Jose) and Debbie Hege Ramos (Felipe) all of Lexington; twelve grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

In honor of her victory over cancer, memorials may be directed to Cancer Services of Davidson County at 25 W. 6 ^th Ave, Lexington, NC 27292.
