Mary Helen Davis Lord

Mary Helen Davis Lord, age 80 of South NC Highway 150, Lexington passed away Sunday night, November 13, 2016 at Abbotts Creek Care and Rehabilitation. A graveside inurnment service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Davis Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Wilkes officiating. The family will greet friends at the cemetery following the service. Mary Helen was born in Davidson County, January 13, 1936 to Hugh Wallace Davis and Marguerite Louise Fitzgerald Davis. She was a retired employee of Gallimore Exteriors and a member of Churchland Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Fields Lord in 2010 and a sister Jackie Barnes Surviving are her daughter, Pam Phipps and husband Gayle of Lexington; son, David Benjamin Lord and wife Janice of Linwood; four grandchildren, Josh Lord and wife Melissa, Tiffanie Simerson and husband Tyler, and Kacie Lord and Taylor Phipps Heitman and husband Adam; two great-grandchildren, Mason and Miller; sister, Louise Cooper of Lexington; brother, Hugh Wallace, Jr. of Lexington. In lieu of flowers, memorials should be directed to Churchland Baptist Church, General Fund, 7516 south NC Highway 150, Lexington, NC  27295.
