Mary Sink Hill

December 8, 1940 — August 18, 2017

Mary Frances Sink Hill was born December 8, 1940. She was married to Billy E. Hill.  Our beloved wife, mother and grandmother left this earth for a sick and pain-free eternal life in Heaven on Friday August 18, 2017.   Mary leaves behind her beloved Husband, Billy Hill.  They would have been Married 58 years this November.  Mary had three sons; Flynt Eugene Hill, (deceased), Bart Wynn Hill (Karen) and Chad Henley Hill (Stacy); six grandchildren, Jeremy Hill (Candace), Joshua Hill (Ashley), Riley Hill, Katie Hill, Wyatt Hill, Justin Hill; four great-grandchildren, Daylen Hill, Adalyn Hill, Dawson Hill, Nora Hill; a brother, Dwayne Sink of Sophia; two sisters, Barbara Black of Winston-Salem and Bonnie Driver of Wilmington.   Mary was a member at Good Hope United Methodist Church.  Mary’s Devout service for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ led her to volunteering most of her spare time to her church over the years.   Mary retired from RJR Tobacco Company after 33 years of service.  She and Billy were also full time farmers. She loved canning and preparing foods from their garden. Mary was a well known baker in Davidson county; known particularly for her cakes.  Throughout the years Mary won many cake baking competitions locally and in the surrounding counties.  Her love for baking led many to seek her services for baking cakes and deserts.  She loved baking and the smile it brought to everyone’s face once they tasted her wonderful deserts.   A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at Good Hope United Methodist Church with Revs. Joseph M. Fulk III  and Jamie Sink officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:00 to 11:00 am Tuesday at the church just prior to the service.   In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Good Hope United Methodist Church, 10253 Hampton Rd., Lexington, NC 27295.   The family would like to extend their gratitude to Mary’s caregiver, Sybil for her kindness and compassion during Mary’s final days.
