Mary Ann Humphries

Mary Humphries, 77, of Myers Drive in Lexington, died Sunday March 11, 2018 at The Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.   A graveside service will be held 11:00 am Thursday at Forest Hill Memorial Park with Rev. David Langley officiating services.   The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 10:45 am Thursday at Davidson Funeral Home.   Ms. Humphries was born May 1, 1940 in Granville County to Horace Spencer Humphries and Rachel Susie Champion Humphries. She was raised at the American Children’s Home and was retired from Dixie Furniture. She was preceded in death by her parents’, a son Jamie Allen Poole; a brother, Horace Humphries; five half-brother and two half-sisters.    Surviving is a daughter Lisa Johnson and husband Robert of Seagrove North Carolina; two sisters, Laura McCauley and husband H.T. of Chapel Hill and Judy Humphrey and husband Brad of California; 4 grandchildren, Denise, Kevin, Tiffany and Josh; and 3 great-grandchildren; Alayna, Emma and Marcus.   Memorials may be made to Hinkle Hospice House 200 Hospice Way Lexington NC 27292 or American Children’s Home 3844 NC Hwy 8, Lexington NC 27292.
