Mary Jane Alford Moore, 74, of Lexington, died Friday at the Hinkle Hospice home following an illness of 13 months.
A Graveside service will be held 11:00 am Tuesday September 14, at the Forest Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum with Rev. Emma Miliam and Rev. Robert Moore Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Mausoleum.
Mrs. Moore was born December 18, 1935 in Grayson County, West Virginia, to George Thomas Alford and Georgia Estell Lovell Alford. She attended Meadoview Deliverance Tabernacle Church were she was a member of the Ladies Dorcus Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Smith Moore Sr.; a son, Clark Moore; and two brothers.
Surviving are four sons, Robert Moore Jr. and wife, Charlotte, of Florida, Michael Moore and wife, Shirley, Terry Moore and wife, Terri, and Greg Moore and wife, Debbie, all of Lexington; one daughter, Lynn Barker and husband, Larry, of Lexington; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
