Mary Jane Strickland

Mary Jane Burch Strickland, age 72 of Jacksonville, Florida passed away Sunday night in Community Hospice of NE Florida. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clyde Akers officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Friday. She was born in Royston, Georgia, March 13, 1941 to James Frank and Fannie Frances Powell Burch. She was a former co-owner of a printing company in Mt. Airy with her son. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Howard Strickland. Surviving are; her son, Steven Randall Strickland of Jacksonville, Florida; a sister, Nonie Lee Rhodes of Benson, NC; brothers, Bennie Burch of Coatsville, PA, Norman, Thomas and Marvin Burch of Lexington, NC, Milton David Burch of Rhonda, NC and Roger Burch of Turtle Crossing, MO; several nieces and nephews.
