Mary Sharpe Smith Lassiter

Mary Sharpe Smith Lassiter, 87 of Lexington passed away January 1, 2022 at her home.

A graveside service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday January, 4 2022 at Jersey Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Michael J. Smith conducting the service.

The family will see friends in the church fellowship hall from 10:00 am until 11:00.

Mrs. Lassiter was born September 20, 1934, in Davidson County, to Phillip Forrest Smith and Florence Sharpe Smith. Mary was a member of Jersey Baptist Church. She was retired from Davidson Water. She is preceded in death by her husband, Everette H. Lassiter who died June 27, 1980 and sister, Margaret Alexander.

Left to cherish her memories are her brothers, John Smith of Salisbury; James Smith of Lexington; her sister, Nancy Seaford of Lexington; Goddaughter, Shelly Lanier of Lexington; sister- in- law, Joan Young of Lexington; brother- in- law, Breck Alexander. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

The family would like to thank her caregivers for their love and passion they gave her. Stephanie, Starr, Sheree, Dana, and Johnnie.
