Mary Lee

  Mary West Stone Lee, of Ocean Isle Beach, departed this world on Monday, May 15.  A funeral service will be held at 2pm Saturday, May 20 at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel, by the Rev. Tommy Simmons.  Burial will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park in Thomasville.  The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Friday at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington.  Mary, also known to her friends and family as Libby, was born on September 5, 1945 in Columbus County, NC to Currie West and Mary Garner West.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Judy West, her niece, Tammy Godwin, and her husband, Grady Floyd Stone. She is survived by three daughters, Melissa Byrd (James) of the home; Cissy Sharpe (Randy) of Troutman, NC, and Asia Lee of Shallotte, NC; two grandsons, Logan Stevens of Shallotte, and Joshua King of Troutman; three granddaughters, Nikki Byrd of Charleston, SC, Brittney Byrd of Little River, SC, and Sara Byrd of Shallotte; two great grandsons, Braxton and Landon; and a great granddaughter, Lilien.  Also surviving are her siblings, Betty Godwin, Tommy West (Angie), Johnny West, all of Lexington,  Wayne Stone (Rita) of Randleman, Grace Fancera of Lexington, and Jerry Stone (Brenda) of Virginia; numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephew; as well as her great aunt and dearest friend, Peggy Lee of Lumberton, and her great aunt, Carolyn Dudley of Shallotte.
