Mary Lee Knotts Yarboro

Mary Lee Knotts Yarboro, age 90 of Sowers Road, Linwood passed away Monday evening at Hinkle Hospice House. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Friday at Higher Ground Baptist Church with Rev. Vardis Rains officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 11:30 until 1:00 pm prior to the service. Mary was born in Mt. Vernon, TX March 9, 1923 and was the last surviving child born to Daniel Alexander Knotts, Sr. and Zernie Parnell Knotts. She was a homemaker and a charter member of Higher Ground Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Walton Howard Yarboro in 1984; daughter, Gaynelle Travis; son, Anthony Wayne Yarboro; sisters, Gladys Long and Vadaree Dodson; and brothers, Elton, Wallace, James and Danny Knotts, Jr. Surviving are, daughters, Rose Groce (Carroll), Becky Michael, Joyce Honeycutt and Alice Coleman (T. Earl); sons, Walton Yarboro and Tim Yarboro (Lee); 16 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
