Mary Lillian Zimmerman Hege

Mary Lillian Zimmerman Hege age 91 of Lexington passed away Friday, October 16, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church at 2:00 PM with Rev. Karen Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Mary Lillian was born March 10, 1924 in Davidson County to George Hollis Zimmerman and Lolah Fishel Zimmerman. She was a lifelong member of Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church. She was member of Arcadia Grange #607 and a recipient of North Carolina State Grange “Mary W. Scott” award. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Elwood Zimmerman. Surviving are her husband of 72 years, Hubert Hoover Hege of the home; son, Alex Shelton Hege, Sr. (Kathleen); daughters, Bonnie Jean Hege and Rosemary Hege; grandchildren, Angela Pilcher, Alex Shelton Hege, Jr. (Candy); step-grandchildren, Jeanette Baucom, Rhonda Baucom (Chad), Brad Mosley (Shannon); great-grandchildren, Michael Pilcher (Britni), Tanner Hege, Austin Hege; step-great grandchildren, Blake Hull, Tyler Baucom, Kayla Baucom, Karson Mosley, Lance Mosley and a great-great grandchild, Jordan Elizabeth Hull. The family would like memorials directed to: Mt.
