Mary Lou S. Curry

Mary Lou S. Curry 68; passed away January 11, 2008. She was born January 14, 1939 to Harley R. Smith and Dorothy R. Smith. She was preceded in death by her father and a brother Harley Reid Smith. There will be a celebration of life memorial service at 4:00 PM on Sunday, January 13th, at Bethesda United Methodist Church where she was a faithful member as long as her health permitted. Rev. Doug Hochmuth will conduct the service. The family will receive friends at the home of her son Charlie. She is survived by her mother, and her loving husband of 49 years, Charles W. “Sid” Curry, also surviving are a daughter Mary Catherine “Cathy” Curry of Lighthouse Point, Fla.; two sons Kimel Wade Curry, and Charles “Charlie” Marshall Curry and wife Wendi, both of Welcome; and one grandchild Marshall “Blaine” Curry who loved his mamaw “Lou Lou” very much. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Family Life Center; Bethesda United Methodist Church, 2922 Bethesda Road, Lexington, NC 27295. The family would like to thank the staff at Forsyth Medical Center, the ICU, Palliative Care, and Home Health doctors and nurses, and especially Dr. Robert Holmes and staff at Piedmont GI for the wonderful care that they gave to Mrs. Curry. Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel is serving the family.
