Mary Neal Mccracken

Mary Neal McCracken, 88, of Heritage Manor Circle passed away Monday morning at her home. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, March 12, 2009 at Meadowview Reformed Presbyterian Church with Pastor Chris Bitterman officiating. Mrs. McCracken was born in Stokes County on March 10, 1920 to Julius A Neal and Mary Ann Tuttle Neal. She was a Registered Nurse at the V.A. Hospital in Fayetteville, NC and a volunteer for the Red Cross, AF Hospital, Ft. Walton Beach, Florida and the Philippines. Mary graduated from City Memorial Hospital of Winston-Salem. She is preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Ida Frances Neal Hadley and a daughter Nancy Lynn McCracken Jarvis. She is survived by her husband of 60 years Floyd H. McCracken; one son David Neal McCracken and wife Gloria; one brother, John William Neal and wife Agnes of Boone, NC; one grand-daughter, Ashley Lynn McCracken and one grandson, Sean Patrick McCracken. A gathering of family and friends will be held following the Memorial Service. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, P. O. Box 1941, Lexington, NC 27293 and American Red Cross, 8 Franklin Street, Lexington, NC 27292. Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel is serving the family.
