Mary Savannah Norman Michael, 79, of Vance Street, died Thursday, August
12, 2010, at her home.
The funeral will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Lexington Church of God, where
she was a member, with the Rev. Lonnie Daugherty and Pastor Todd Kiger
officiating. Burial will follow in Lexington City Cemetery. The family
will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, August 14, 2010, at
Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home.
Mrs. Michael was born February 6, 1931, in Davidson County, to Blaine
Curtis Norman and Nicie Wood Norman. She was a homemaker. In addition to
her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul W. Michael; a
son, James Hansel Yarbrough; brother, Joseph Norman; a sister, Rosie
Everhart; and a grandson, James Yarbrough Jr.
Surviving are her son, Paul Michael; daughters, Joyce May and husband,
Samuel, Lisa Hylton and husband, Douglass, Swanie Marie Rachels and
husband, Johnny, and Shelby Jean Hobbs and husband, Robert, all of
Lexington; 18 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and best friend
Gaynell Greer.
