Mary Ruth Moody

Mary Moody, age 83, passed away Saturday, February 17, 2024, at High Point Regional.

A funeral will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at 2:00 PM, at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, with Rev. James Messer officiating.

A visitation will precede the service from 1:00 - 2:00 PM at the funeral home.

Burial will directly follow the funeral at Lexington City Cemetery.

Mary was born on June 15, 1940, in Watauga County to Ralph Olen Canter and Bessie Eisenhower Canter. She is preceded in death by her parents, 1st husband, William Eugene Moody and 2nd husband Michael Ray Barnhill, sons William Olen Moody, Michael Wayne Moody, daughter Tammy Moody, brothers Frank Canter, Virgil Canter, sisters, Pauline Berrier, Lillimae Deardoff, Verlee Canter, Evalee Sholtz, Beatrice Scates, Barbara Miller.

Surviving are daughters; Elizabeth Sanchez, Donna Winters, sisters, Ethel Greer, Virgina Dancy, Phillis Church, seven grandchildren; Joey King, Jennifer Estes, Marlina Perez, Jonathan King, Timothy Moody, Courtney Garren, Zackary Garren, twenty great grandchildren; Christian Perez, Adrian (Baby A) Perez, Joseph Torres, Brandon Torres, Kaden Torres,  Kaylee Perez, Isaiah Torres, Izabella Garren, Rylei King, Aryanna King, Braden Garren, Bella Beddard, Maddison King, Ryder Garren, Winter Garren, Dominic Amerson, Malia Estes, Maverick Estes, Airelle Odell, and Skylar Odell, and one great-great grandchild, Laylani Torres

Davidson Funeral Home will be serving the family.
