Mary Ray

Mary Ann Blue Ray, 96, of Fairview Drive, died Thursday, March 1, 2007, at her home after a period of declining health. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Jamie Fonville. Entombment will be in Forest Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum. Mrs. Ray was born Jan. 17, 1911, in Moore County to William M. and Louise E. Blue. She was a homemaker and a member of First Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, William Luther Blue and Fred Blue and his wife, Georgia; and a sister, Estelle Muze and her husband, Roy. Surviving are her spouse, Arnold Ray of the home; two daughters, Ann Ray Parks and husband, Charles Parks Jr., of Lexington, and Mary Blue Ray of Charlotte; a grandchild, Charles C. Parks III and wife, Melissa, of Lexington; and a great-grandchild, Charles Parks IV. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
