Mary Belle Richard

Mary Belle Cole Charles Richard, 78, formerly of Erwin Drive, Lexington passed away Sunday Morning, November 25, 2012, at Abbotts Creek Care and Rehabilitation Center. A funeral service will be 2 pm Wednesday, November 28, 2012, at Church of God of Prophecy, where she was a member, with Pastors Lawrence Jackson and Michael Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The Family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 pm prior to the service at the church and other times at the home of her daughter, Wanda and David Moore, Iroquois Trail, Lexington. Mary was born November 13, 1934, in Davidson County, to Henry Wood and Margaret Viona Marion. She was retired from PPG. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, James Boaz Charles Sr. and her husband, Theodore Richard; a grandson, Michael Charles; and her brother, William Franklin Cole. Surviving are sons, Jimmy Charles and wife, Teresa, of Statesville and Perry Charles of Lexington; daughters, Kathy Leonard and husband, James, and Wanda Moore and husband, David, all of Lexington. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Violet Bivens of Lexington. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292; or to Abbotts Creek Center, 877 Hill Everhart Road, Lexington, NC 27295.
