Mary Joyce Rummage

Mary Joyce Rummage, age 89, of Leonard Road, Lexington passed away Thursday night, March 15, 2012 at Hinkle Hospice House.  Funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm Saturday, March 17, 2012 at Ebenezer United Methodist Church where she was a member with Rev. Duke Walker officiating. Burial will follow in Ebenezer United Methodist Church Cemetery.   The family will receive friends at the church from 3:00 until 4:00 pm Saturday prior to the service.   Mary was born in Surry County, June 24, 1922 to Arthur Lee Joyce and Savana Turner Campbell Joyce. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jesse Williard Rummage, January 3, 1978; brothers, Elmer, James and Gene Joyce; sisters, Ruth Lovin, Sue Overman, Margie Byrd, Lucille Adcock, Lilly Scarbrough and Nell Sanderson.   Surviving are; two sons, Robert Rummage and wife Yvonne of Lexington; Ken Rummage and wife Dianne of Rock Hill, SC four grandchildren, Christopher and Joel Rummage; Brian Rummage and wife Beth; Leslie Williams and husband Chris; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy Williams of Fayetteville, NC and Edith Watson of Asheboro, NC.   Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington is handling arrangements for the Rummage family.   Online condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
