Mary Ruth England Ellis

Mary Ruth England Ellis, age 74, of Lexington was surrounded by family and friends when she went to be with her Savior and Lord on Sunday evening at Hinkle Hospice House.   Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Darrell Cartrette and Rev. Doug McGee officiating.  Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will recieve friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Tuesday Mary Ruth was born in Sevier County, TN August 30, 1938 to Mabel England White. She was a faithful member of Mt. Carmel Freewill Baptist Church and loved Southern Gospel Music. She was a retired employee of Parkdale Mills with 30 plus years of service. She was preceded in death by her mother; loving son, Gregory Dale Ellis; grandson, Jason Gregory Ellis; uncles, Frank and Arlie Green, Fred, Robert and Tom England; aunt, Dorothy Powers and grandmother, Lillie England. Surviving are; her son Geoffrey and his loving wife Laura; grandsons, Zach and Ryan Shell of Lexington, Stephen Ellis of Lexington, Ryan Ellis and wife Meghan of Lynchburg, VA., Brandon Ellis and wife Brittany of Suffolk, VA; great-grandson, Camren Ellis of Lexington and soon to be great-grandchild due January 2013; sisters, Margaret Crawford and husband Richard, Connie Buckner and Vivian Cornwell all of Maryville, TN., and Kifiea Walker and husband Thomas of Jefferson, GA.; uncles, Ray Green of Lexington, Raymond England of Maryville, TN; numerous nieces and nephews; very special friend, Linda Garner, loving friends and family of Mt. Carmel Freewill Baptist Church and her special pet, Baby Girl.   The family request that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to Hinkle Hospice House, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC  27292   Online condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
