Mary Frances Scearce

June 1, 1942 — November 20, 2010

Mary Frances Sowers Scearce age 68 formerly of Lexington passed away Saturday, November 20, 2010 shortly after noon at Lake Norman Hospital. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at Good Hope United Methodist Church at 11:00 AM with Ronnie Walser officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held Tuesday, November 23rd at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and other times at respective homes. Frances was born in Davidson County on June 1, 1942 to Cletus and Mildred Zimmerman Sowers. She was retired owner operator of Binks Beauty Shop. Frances was a lifetime member of Good Hope United Methodist Church where she actively attended as long as her health permitted. She was active with the Friendship Sunday School Class and Unity Circle where she received a Life Membership Pin. The love of her life was her grand-kids and Nascar Racing. Frances graduated from Marshall School of Beauty. She was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband Aubrey Scearce of 40 years who had passed away in 2002. Surviving are two sons; Mike Scearce and wife Georgieanna of Mt. Ulla and Steve Scearce and wife Dianne of Rural Hall; three sisters; Margaret Dunning and husband Tommy of Lexington, Eva Bostick and husband Arthur of Mocksville and Rose Bryan and husband Jimmy of Lexington; five grandchildren; Macey Scearce, Owen Scearce and Olivia Scearce, RJ Otto and Kacey Otto. Also, several sister-in-laws and many nieces and nephews. A special thanks to Genesis Health Care Staff and Therapist for all the love shown to Frances and her family.
