Mary Katherine Bailey Shoaf, 84, of N NC Hwy 150, died January 11, 2022, at her home.
A graveside service will be held 2 pm Saturday, January 22, at Friendship United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Shoaf married her husband, Guy Mack Shoaf when she was sixteen and lived at the home on Hwy 150 until her death. She was a loving mother who stayed home in the early years then went to work outside the home until she retired. She also did volunteer work at the Pastor’s Pantry in Lexington. Mrs. Shoaf was born May 12, 1937, in Clinton, Tennessee to George Preston Bailey and Thelma Elizabeth Beaver Bailey.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Mack Shoaf; a daughter, Sylvia Shoaf; four brothers, Floyd Bailey, Frank Bailey, Allen Bailey, and Charles Edward Bailey.
Surviving are her children, Brian Shoaf, Rozella Everhart, Cindy Briggs (Wayne), Angie McBride (Scott), and Debbie Case (David); twelve grandchildren, Callie Barker, Courtney St. Clair, Bradley Everhart, Trey Briggs, Taylor Briggs, Thomas Briggs, Levi McBride, Jessica Scarlett, Robert Case, Monica Holder, Jonathan Lopp, Lindsay Icenhower; and fifteen great-grandchildren, Chesley Barker, Crofton St. Clair, Elsie Everhart, Etta Everhart, Chandler Briggs, Salem Briggs, Matthew Scarlett, Megan Scarlett, Mia Lopp, Jace Lopp, Aiden Lopp, Ethan Bowles, Christian Case, Anna Case, and Stanley Case.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hospice of Davidson County 200 Hospice Way Lexington, NC 27292
