Mary Temple

Mary Lucinda Snyder Temple, 91 passed away Friday at Alston Brook Nursing Home where she had been a resident for 7 months. A Funeral Service will be 2:00 pm Monday, December 15, 2008 at First Wesleyan Church where she was a member conducted by Rev, Michael Greer and burial to follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. Mrs. Temple was born June 22, 1917 in Jackson County to Charlie Rufus and Hester Victoria Snyder. She and her husband, Jasper Stanford Temple were married March 16, 1940 and he preceded her in death October 17, 2005. Also a brother, Frank Snyder and Sisters Bonnie Smith, Pauline Snyder, Grace Snyder and Azalea Snyder all preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by several nieces and nephews. Surviving are her children, Elsie Queen and her husband Curtis, Paul Temple and his wife Pam all of Lexington and Joann Yokley and her husband Jim of Thomasville. Grandchildren: Michael Queen and wife Shonda, Jason Queen and wife Christy, Rodney Temple and wife Maile, Melissa Temple and Fiancé Chris Reynolds, Andy Yokley, Megan Cook, Brad Yokley and Alisha Cranford. Great Grandchildren: Harley, Michaela, Dalton and Eli Queen, Jake and Tucker Queen and Kainoa Temple. She also had 11 nephews and 10 nieces. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home Sunday Night from 6-8 pm and at other times at the home of her daughter, Elsie Queen Pine Top Road, Lexington.
