Mary Alice Thomason

Mary Alice Mize Thomason passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 6, 2025.

A visitation to honor her life will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington.

Born on January 7, 1949, in Davidson County, Mary Alice was the daughter of Thomas Mize and Alice Hege Mize. She was a devoted homemaker with a heart for caring for children, finding joy in nurturing and supporting those around her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Brice Mize.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Gurney Foy Thomason; her son, Jeffery Lee Thomason; and her sister, Margaret Escobar (Mario).

Mary Alice’s kindness and love will be deeply missed, but her legacy of care and devotion will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
