Mary Frances Laughter Tucker

Mary Frances Laughter Tucker, 73, of Ridge Mill Circle, died Sunday, June 7, at Hinkle Hospice House following a 2 month illness. A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, June 13, 2015, at Freedom Missionary Baptist Church with Preacher Clyde Akers officiating. Mrs. Tucker was born November 2, 1941, in Henderson County, to James Bynum Laughter and Pearl Eva King Laughter. She was a biscuit maker for Hardees and of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Tucker; and brothers, James Lawter and Cliford Lawter. Surviving are son, Ricky Leonard of Winston-Salem; daughters, Tracy Steed and husband Scott of Lexington and Penny Farmer of Thomasville; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a brother, Robert Lawter of Lexington.
