Mary Ann Wallace

Mary Ann Leonard Wallace, age 84 of Lexington, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 23, 2024, at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.

A gathering of family and friends to remember Mary will be held from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Friday, September 27, 2024, at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington.

Mary was born on October 24, 1939, in Davidson County, NC to John Leonard and Lois Bates Leonard. She previously had worked in the furniture industry at Link Taylor. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald Ray Wallace, Sr. in 2015, and a brother, John Wayne Leonard.

Surviving are her sons, Donald Wallace Jr., and Jamie Wallace (Jean); daughter, Melissa Shough (Doug); brother, Robert “Bobby” Byerly; sister, Belinda Daniels; four grandchildren, Misty Dawn Hamilton (Chris), Sumer Renee Shough, Allan Douglas Shough, Kayla Marie Winter (Robert) and three great-grandchildren, Lane Paxton Brown, Skylar Rae Hamilton and Romulus Markus Winter.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the donor’s choice.

Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel is serving the Wallace family.
