Mary Rachel Jones Welborn

Mary Rachel Jones Welborn, 82, of Arbor Drive, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2011, at Thomasville Medical Center. A Funeral service will be 2 pm Monday at Freedom Missionary Baptist Church, with Preacher Clyde Akers officiating. Burial will follow in Lexington City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 5 to 7 pm at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home. Mrs. Welborn was born August 8, 1929, in Davidson County, to Homer Jones and Woodrow Edwards Jones. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Everette Lee Welborn, two sons: James Stephen Robbins and Mark Randall Welborn; and one brother, Buck Jones. Surviving are a son, Joseph Mark Welborn of Lexington; two daughters, Tona Salmon of Lexington and Lori Kim Welborn of Georgia; granddaughters, Nikki Robbins of Georgia and Ashley Lynch of Lexington; one brother, Jimmy Randall (Randy) Jones and his wife, Joyce, of Lexington; nieces and nephews, Stacy Wilson and husband, Dale, of China Grove, Chris Jones and wife, Carol, of Georgia and Robin Hyder of High Point.
