Mary Thoamson Wood

Mary Thomason Wood, age 71 of White Street Lexington, passed away Monday morning at Hinkle Hospice House.  Memorial service will be 6:00 pm Thursday (July 22, 2010) at Freedom Baptist Church with Rev. Clyde Akers officiating.   Family will receive friends at the church from 4:00 until 6:00 prior to the service, Thursday.   Mary was born in Davidson County February 3, 1939 to Hollis Thurman Thomason and Ethel Mae Younts Thomason.  She was a homemaker and a member of Freedom Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Alma Baker.    Surviving are, husband Dollie Edmond Wood of the home; two daughters, Annie Wood and Fiance’ Mike of Reeds and Mary Ann Wood Holbrook of Troy; two sons, Glenn Wood and wife Sherry and Jimmy Lee Wood and wife Rhonda all of Lexington; six grandchildren, Tamara Gillespie, Crystal Everhart, Chris Gillespie, Kim Gillespie, Eddie Wood and Robert “Bo” Wood; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lois George of Reeds and Reba Gobble of Reedy Creek.   Memorials should be directed to Davidson Funeral Home, c/o Mary Ellen Wood, 301 North Main Street, Lexington, NC  27292     Online condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
