Matilda Jean Gardner Fowler, age 77 of Robert Hargrave Rd., Southmont died Friday February 24, 2006 at 3:09 am at her home in Southmont FUNERAL SERVICE TIME & DATE: 11:00 am Monday Mrs. Fowler was born in Martinsville, VA on February 7, 1929 to Gilbert Shellhorse Gardner and Janie Herndon Gardner. She was a homemaker She is survived by her husband, John A. Fowler of the home, daughters Linda Jordan and husband Ray of High Point and Frances Moore and husband Ronald of Climax She was the proud grandmother of Dane Jordan and wife Amy of Indian Trail, NC and Kory Cecil Williford and husband Allen of Raleigh, NC; Casey Cecil of Stokesdale, NC; Curtis Cecil of Stokesdale, NC; J. R. Cecil and wife Seresa of Elon, NC and Hannah Cecil of Climax, NC and great granddaughters, Alexis Jordan; Olivia Jordan and C. J. Williford. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday at Macedonia United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Burt Williams and Rev. Dane Jordan. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
