Memorials Mattie Evlee Robertson Crawford , 77, of Carl Pressley Road, died Tuesday June 10, 2014 at Wake Forest Baptist University Lexington Medical Center. A funeral service will be held 3:00 pm Saturday at First Baptist Church Welcome, Where she was a member, with Rev. Mark Blair, Rev. Eric Freeman and Rev. Ronald Freeman officiating services. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 pm Saturday at the Church. Mrs. Crawford was born December 9, 1936 in Pulaski County Virginia, to Frank Estell Robertson and Eliza Jane Williams Robertson. She was employed with Davidson County at the West Davidson Library. Mrs. Crawford was a member of the Women’s Four Sunday School Class at her Church, was preceded in death by her husband, Denny Gordon Crawford. Surviving is one son; Danny Crawford and wife Cathy of Welcome; three daughters, Marcella Wilfong and husband David of Tyro; Pat Freeman and husband Rev. Ronald Freeman of Hickory NC, and Brenda Jones and husband Jeff of Kernersville; two brothers, Jay Robertson and wife Edna, and Bruce Robertson and wife Mary Lou, both of Virginia; one sister, Coleen Dooley of Virginia; and step sister Annie Mae Horton of Virginia; two grandchildren, Rev. Eric Freeman and wife Amanda, and Clint Burnette and fiancée Jessica Dennis; five great-grandchildren, Makenzy Burnette, Amelia Freeman and Edith Freeman, Hunter Burnette and Hayden Burnette; step grandchildren, Brad Wilfong and Chris Wilfong and step great grandchildren, Halee, Abby and Tyler Wilfong.
