Maude Berrier Hartman

January 19, 1917 — September 9, 2011

Maude Berrier Hartman age 94, passed away Friday September 9, 2011 at Pine Ridge Health & Rehabilitation Center in Thomasville. A funeral service will be held 4:00 pm on Monday September 12, 2011 at New Friendship Baptist Church with Pastor Chris Byrne officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Sunday, September 11, 2011 at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel. Mrs. Hartman was born January 19, 1917 in Davidson County to Harvey Berrier and Elzie Pitts Berrier. She was a long time member of New Friendship Baptist Church. She worked at Midway Cold Storage. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Ralph Hartman, her brothers; Ray, Everette, Clyde, Paul and Floyd Berrier. Surviving are her son Dwight Hartman ( Brenda), her daughter; Esther Arrowood ( Wayne) all of Winston Salem, her four grandchildren; Travis Hartman, Jason Hartman, Bradley Arrowood of Winston salem and Mark Arrowood of Lexington. Her seven great grandchildren; Katelyn and Mallory Hartman, Graham, Spencer, Hope, Alex and Luke Arrowood, her two sisters; Florence Warden and Violet Nichols, her brothers; Clay Berrier ( Odessa ) and John Berrier all of Winston salem, her sister in law; Ann Berrier of Huntersville. Memorials may be sent to New Friendship Baptist Church 4258 Old Lexington Road Winston Salem NC 27107. The family would like to thanks the staff of Pine Ridge, especially Sharon Sloan and Nancy Crabtree.. Thanks also to Dink Stewart for many kindnesses and to Jerry Moore for weekly cards for many years… Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel is assisting the family.
